FAMILIES across Binfield will be assembling outside their homes every Saturday for some "socially-distant" dancing and here's how you can join in.

Last Saturday, a fun video sent in by Liz Hall, showed residents living in Knox Green, Binfield showing off their best moves as they danced to music.

Liz Hall said: "It really lifted our spirits. It was lovely to see so many of our neighbours with smiles on their faces, all at a safe distance, obviously!"

The community lockdown dance was organised through the streets Whatsapp Group, which has 69 houses in it.

Other streets in Binfield including Red Rose, Braeside and Stevenson’s drive took part in the social distancing dance at 11am.

Sonia Bagshaw, organiser behind the Binfield Lockdown Boogie, said: "We have over 100 households on Facebook who are taking part and many others are arranging within their streets.

"The intention is to do a different song at 11am every Saturday so the whole village can join in. "This Saturday, you have to play I’m still standing by Elton John, Lets Dance by David Bowie and Stayin Alive by the Bee Gees so that everyone listens to the same songs in sync."
