Diversion routes are in place through A3095 Mill Lane, A3095 Crowthorne Road, B3430 Nine Mile Ride and A322 Bagshot Road.

South East Water said they expect the road to reopen by 'tea-time' tomorrow (Friday, February 21).

Paul Mann, South East Water’s distribution manager, said: “We are working as quickly as possible to get Downshire Way, Bracknell open to traffic.

“The water main which burst was fixed overnight and we are currently restoring the carriageway. We hope to get the road reopened by tea-time tomorrow (Friday), but it does depend on the weather as we need the road surface to set properly before we can allow motorists to use it again.

“The diversion is signposted and is via A3095 Mill Lane, A3095 Crowthorne Road, B3430Nine Mile Ride and A322 Bagshot Road.

“We are working with the emergency services to make sure fire service and ambulance vehicles which are stationed nearby are not delayed.
