Red and pink rose petals were collected from a tray using nets and the nursery children were excited to show how many they caught.
Later on in the day, the children made love themed biscuits with pictures on to take home to their mums and dads.
Laura Gardner, deputy nursery manager, said: “They were using the nets to collect up the petals and began showing one another what they had caught."
