1) Burger restaurant shuts down in the Oracle
Handmade Burger Co has shut down in Reading due to company collapse.
This has cost 283 jobs right across the chain's UK restaurants.

2) Drug dealer found guilty at Reading Court
A drug dealer has been found guilty after police caught him with crack cocaine and heroin in Reading.
The 28-year-old was brought before Reading Crown Court this week.

3) New Wellness Festival to come to Reading
This family friendly festival will be coming to Reading in August with a focus on wellness and the planet.
It is reportedly the first of its kind in the UK and will be called the Medicine Festival.

4) Restaurant in Reading destroyed by fire
The Afghan Restaurant on Wokingham Road was destroyed by a fire earlier this week.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Services were called to the scene and pictures showed flames tearing through the building.

5) Reading Hospice rated ‘Outstanding’
The Sue Ryder Duchess of Kent Hospice in Reading was given the 'outstanding' rating following an inspection in November 2019.
The hospice provides palliative and end of life care in West Berkshire including Reading, Wokingham and Newbury.
