Flood alerts have been issued this week across Bracknell and Reading, writes Ellie Avery.

Reading and it’s surrounding areas have been issued flood alerts this week with temperatures also expected to drop.

Last week saw a downpour in Central Reading with the River Kennet overflowing by the Oracle's riverside.

After a sunny weekend, Gov.uk issued 18 flood warnings this afternoon for the forthcoming week in Berkshire, with 5 expected to be in Reading.

Flooding can be still be seen at the Kennet and Avon canal in Reading as a result of last week's floods.

Pathways near the canal are also completely flooded.

Bracknell News:

Gov.uk website explains that the flood warnings aren't due to create property damage as they were expected to last week, however, it advises people to be prepared during a flood.

The website is encouraging people to “prepare a bag that includes medicines and insurance documents” and to “check flood warnings.”

This week, the temperature is expected to drop as low as 3 degrees, with 10 degrees being the highest temperature all week.

Rain is expected over the weekend with cloud for the remainder of the week.

· Groundwater flooding in the Lambourn Valley catchment

· Groundwater flooding in the Salisbury Plain area

· Groundwater flooding in the Upper Aldbourne Valley

· Lower River Loddon at the River Thames confluence at Twyford

· River Kennet and its tributaries from Berwick Bassett down to Newbury

· River Kennet from Thatcham down to Reading

· River Lambourn and its tributaries from Upper Lambourn down to Newbury

· River Pang from East Ilsley to Pangbourne and Sulham Brook

· River Thames and its tributaries from Days Lock to above Pangbourne

· River Thames for Henley, Remenham, Medmenham and its tributaries

· River Thames for Shiplake, Lower Shiplake and Wargrave

· River Thames from Datchet to Shepperton Green

· River Thames from Hurley to Cookham

· River Thames from Mapledurham to Sonning

· River Thames from Pangbourne to Purley

· River Thames from Shepperton to Molesey
