STUDENTS battled it out to become the best team in the first round of a school athletics competition.
Bracknell Forest Primary Schools Indoor Athletics Championship 2020 was hosted at Bracknell Leisure Centre for the first round on January 17.

The event saw 25 schools divided into two heats with the top five teams from each heat qualifying for the final and the best runners up from across the sessions also qualifying.
Matthew Gamble, athletics teacher at Ranelagh school, said: "With so many excellent results, the final on 31st January promises to be really exciting.
"For this type of competition traditional athletics events are adapted for safe indoor use.
"The action is fast and furious creating a wonderful noisy atmosphere."

Students took part in relay races with the top five qualifying teams Crown Wood, Jennett's Park, St Margaret Clitherow, Warfield and Wildridings remaining and New Scotland Hill and St Michael's Sandhurst competing for the two remaining runner up spots.
Wooden Hill and St Michaels Easthampstead came out on top to take the last 2 places in the final.
