A mum blasted the supermarket which posted a dummy child alongside the horror DVD ‘IT’ at the front of the store.

The film is out on DVD and the plotline of the film is a murderous clown who kidnaps children.

2. Reading GP surgery now provides same day appointments for mental health patients

A GP surgery in Berkshire has been able to improve waiting times for acute mental health appointments, by appointing Physician Associates to relieve the burden on doctors.

The Brookside Surgery in Reading is cutting waiting times by up to four days with its same-day appointments.

3. Reading Gate retail park to open new Nando’s next week

Another new Nando’s is set to open in Reading next week.

It is part of changes being made to Reading Gate retail park with the Nando’s restaurant opening on Thursday January 23.

4. GWR launches mobile assistance service

Train operator Great Western Railway (GWR) has launched a mobile Customer Assistance Team to help those with reduced mobility to be able to travel with confidence.

It means that a member of staff can travel with the passenger, taking care of the entire journey experience and ensuring continuity of service.

5. The Rearranged date for Reading’s home clash with Bristol City has been confirmed

Reading’s Championship home fixture with Bristol City has been rearranged to Tuesday 28 January.

The game was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday 25 January but had to be moved due to Royals’ progression in the FA Cup.
