A PRIMARY school in Ascot feels "very proud" to be ranked as a top school for its outstanding results and pupil achievements.
St Francis Catholic Primary School secured 155th place in the Sunday Times Top 500 English State Primary Schools 2019, showing how state-funded primaries are doing better than many prep schools across the country.

The Outstanding Ofsted rated school said they feel very proud to be featured in the list.
Mrs Rhona Miccoli, Headteacher at the school, said: “I am delighted to receive the news of our ranking of 155th place in the Sunday Times Top 500 English State Primary Schools 2019.
"This is a reflection of our wonderful, dedicated community at St Francis Catholic Primary School: governors; school staff; parents; and most importantly our hard-working children.’
The results in the Sunday Times list show that results are continuing to improve in the 500 leading primary schools, especially where black, Asian and minority ethnic (Bame) pupils are in the majority.
St Francis Catholic Primary School's Year 6 SATS results also beat the national average and exceeded expectations with 93 per cent score in comparison to 65 per cent nationally.
This also resided for Key Stage 1 scores in reading, writing, maths and science.
