GOLFERS clubbed together to raise money for children with additional needs.

The Rotary Club of Ascot handed a cheque of £3,700 to Gordon Parris, the founder of Children with Special Needs Foundation.

Robin Pickup, member of the Rotary, said: "A huge thank you to all who took part in the day either playing, marshalling or for the donation of prizes for the post dinner raffle, it was brilliant."

The golf day was held at the clubs favourite venue, Royal Ascot Golf Club on September 27.

Teams of four people were invited to take part in the sport and raise money for the charity.

There was a main competition with an18-hole course which followed by a gala dinner and charity auction.
