So here’s the best-of-the-rest from the most controversial and interesting planning applications submitted to Bracknell Forest Council (BFC) from the past few weeks.

New additions at Sandhurst Town Football Club (planning references 19/01117/LDC and 19/01085/FUL)

Bosses at the Yorktown Road club want to add a number of features at their ground.

Replacing the site’s natural grass football pitch with a 3G artificial surface is one proposal submitted this week.

The other involves the completion of the building of a 106-seater stand and a single-storey extension to the clubhouse, which the club originally got permission for in 2005.

Work started on the plans, which saw the stand built by July 2006, with the foundations of the clubhouse extension also starting.

However, this work was suspended, according to documents which state a review of the club’s finances and priorities meant it had to be put on hold.

Bosses now want to carry on with these plans, but need the all-clear from council planning chiefs first as the club needs to show work started on the original plans within the allocated time period.

New public toilet facility at Winkfield recreation ground (19/01125/FUL)

Winkfield Parish Council wants to add a new loo at the King George V recreation ground.

If approved, two new toilets will be added to the site.

New storefront at The Lexicon (19/01110/FUL)

If you hadn’t heard already, Silent Night is coming to The Lexicon - and shopping centre bosses have announced when it will open.

To get ready for the store opening, new additions are planned for the empty shop on Braccan Walk.

A new shopfront will welcome shoppers into the store - and this is what it will look like.

The Bagshot Road Kentucky Fried Chicken bosses have submitted new plans to Bracknell Forest Council.

They want to add two new rapid electric vehicle charging stations to their site.

These charging bays would be converted from two existing ordinary bays.

New car parking spaces in Bracknell (19/01083/FUL)

Silva Homes chiefs want to add 26 new spaces at Helmsdale.

Areas of grass will be converted to create the new bays.

Bracknell News:

The proposal has split neighbours, with one against the plan and three in favour.
