HIGH street video game store GAME plans to close 40 stores across the UK— and Bracknell could be one of them.

The store has already put up closing down notices on 27 of its branches and is yet to announce the rest of the locations.

The nearest GAME stores are in Bracknell in the High Street in Bracknell and in the Oracle in Reading.

However, the video game and console retailer has not announced which other stores are set to close so could they be closing down?

According to its most recent sales results, GAME's pre-tax profits rose to £14.8million in the six months to the end of January 2019 - up from £12.3million on the previous year.

However, it appears the chain is struggling due to challenges on the high street and an increase in rents.
