TWO would-be robbers are being hunted by police after demanding money from a man at a Reading bus stop.

Thames Valley Police said the 54-year-old victim was stood at a bust stop in Waylen Street when he was approached by two men on January 2.

The pair demanded the victim hand over his money and also attempted to steal his phone, but failed.

Police said it happened about 4pm and the two would-be robbers left the scene in the direction of the town centre.

Nothing was stolen.

The force said the first offender is described as a black man, about 5ft 8ins tall and of medium build. He was wearing a dark blue coat.

Police added that the second offender is described as a white man, about 5ft 10ins tall and of a slim build. He was wearing a thigh-length khaki green puffer jacket.
