A TREE house was transformed into a winter wonderland to raise much needed funds for a children's charity.

Sebastian's Action Trust hosted a festive Christmas market at The Woodlands in Crowthorne on December 7.

The family outreach centre was transformed to host more than 20 stalls selling a variety of food and entertainment with performances from local choirs

Jane Gates OBE, chief executive of Sebastian's Action Trust, said: "We were delighted so many people from the local community came to our first Christmas Market at The Woodlands.

"It was a really lovely afternoon.

"Our woodlands’ trails, which have just been completed, were turned into a candy cane trail and it was lovely to see families make their way around. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in organising the Christmas Market and especially to everyone who came along, raising money to support our cause.”

Excited children got to meet Santa in his grotto where they each received a Christmas present.

The traditional market was great for families to buy stocking fillers such as baubles, candles, crafts, chocolates and other festive items.

At the Sebastian's Action Trust grounds, a cafe at Cedar Lodge served tasty hot chocolate and mince pies to warm up families throughout the afternoon.

All of the proceeds from the Christmas market was donated back into the Trust to help seriously ill-children get the support they need.
