Here are five interesting plans submitted in the last two weeks which caught our eye.

New martial arts studio in Bracknell (Planning reference: 19/00977/FUL)

KONG Martial Arts currently operates out of Kings Academy School in Binfield, but managers believe this site is “no longer fit for purpose” and they are seeking a permanent site instead.

Unit 3 at Brickfields Industrial Park on Kiln Lane in Bracknell has been identified as the potential location.

Bosses are applying for a change of use from light industrial and storage purposes to a martial arts studio.

Operating hours would be from 5.15 pm to 9.15 pm Monday to Friday.

10 new homes in Warfield (19/00971/OUT

Bracknell News:

Developers want to build the new houses off Forest Road.

This would come following the demolition of the existing building at the site.

Thirty-two car parking spaces would be created to join the houses.

An extension to a listed building in Winkfield (19/00950/LB)

Bracknell News:

Managers want to remove an internal partition and add an “orangery extension” at Knights Hall.

The building is Grade II listed with its own landscaped gardens and includes a lake and four acres of paddocks.

It was originally built ‘as a modest-sized cottage’ in 1525 and because of its special protections managers have to seek permission from planning bosses before changing the layout of the building.

New compound area at Honda salesroom (19/00959/FUL)

Bracknell News:

Bosses at the Honda showroom on London Road in Bracknell want to add a new side building to their site.

Two new car parking canopies, gates and a fence would form a new compound area if managers get the green light from planning chiefs.

The changes mean the site will have new fewer car spaces, however, reducing the total to 93.

New hot tub room at a house in Binfield (19/00955/FUL)

Bracknell News:

Homeowners at a property on Tilehurst Lane want to add a hot tub room at he back of their house.

This would mean building a detached garage, a new fence and a new access point to the Tilehurst Lane site.

Bracknell News:

The home is a listed building as it was built in the 18th century.

Like with all applications listed above, this proposal is currently being considered by planning bosses.
