PANTOS in Bracknell are in full-swing ahead of the Christmas season and upcoming Aladdin is set to take centre stage.

Set to make families burst with laughter and sing-a-long to the Disney classic, South Hill Park is back to host another magical show.

One of the stars of the show, Mike Ayiotis who works in Bracknell, will perform as the wicked wizard Abanazar at the Wilde Theatre on November 29.

Ahead of the shows performance, Mike said: "Personally I think Abanazar is the best bad guy there is in the whole panto scene – because you get the magic, the evil laugh… And there’s something really hilarious about the way he gets everyone wound up! The audience gets that important satisfaction from watching him getting ever more irked and riled." The show is expected to dazzle audiences with their brightly outrageous costumes, created by Naomi Gibbs and lavish stage sets by Victoria Spearing, who won the top award at last year's Great British Pantomime Awards.

Another character in the show is Brad Clapson, acting as Widow Twankey in Aladdin.

The 'excellent' singer/dancer is sure to entertain guests with his humorous charm and feels humbled to be performing in his home town of Bracknell.

Brad said: "This time I am Widow Twankey, Aladdin’s Mother. But I’m not quite a normal Dame – I’m a sort of Dame Meets Drag Queen… and I’m very feminine and very funny on the stage."

Mike added: "I think this panto is going to be the best way to celebrate the Christmas season here in Bracknell."

"It’s high energy, spectacular – and in three words it’s mystical, magical and marvellous."

Tickets (adults and children) start at £20, with 4-person Family Groups starting at £68.
