A WEATHER warning for heavy rain and snow has been issued for the county for the end of this week.

A Met Office yellow weather warning for Thursday, which includes Reading and Bracknell, says there could be disruptions as there is a chance of heavy 'rain and hillsnow'.

Flooding is to be expected and transport services are likely to be affected with journey times taking longer.

Spray on the roads will make it harder to see while driving so extra care is needed.

It has not specified where snow could fall within the weather warning area which stretches across the county and  afar.

Current predictions say heavy rain is expected in Reading and Bracknell overnight from wednesday into Thursday, with temperatures currently sitting at around 3C (Bracknell) and 4C (Reading) for most the day.
