A CLASSICAL music lover had his wish come true when his care team surprised him with a trip to the Royal Albert Hall.

Peter from Wokingham is supported by Optalis Care Supported Living and the team decided to get him tickets to the Relaxed Proms for his 75th birthday.

The resident will often play music from Beethoven, Bach and Mozart so they wanted him to see a live performance, with a viewing from the private box.

Vanessa, who is an Optalis Operation lead, took Peter out to London for the day, strolling through Hyde Park and enjoying a final stop at the pub for a pint of beer and pie.

She said: "Peter was chuffed to bits to find out he was heading to the Royal Albert Hall.

"He originally thought he would be visiting Bournemouth so when we finally spilt the beans he was very excited."

The 75-year-old has been supported by Optalis for over 30 years and spoke of his unforgettable experience.

Peter said: "I went to London for the day. It was nice music, I enjoyed a sing song and they did Swan Lake and all sorts."

Optalis Care offer a range of adult social care services in Wokingham, Windsor and Maidenhead.
