The Section 60 order giving police extra 'stop and search' powers across Slough borough has been extended yet again for another 24 houts - taking it until 12.30pm tomorrow.
Each Section 60 order can only last 24 hours but the extended searches carried on for a week between Friday, September 27 and October 4 with police applying for renewals every day.
After a four day hiatus a new order was introduced Tuesday and will have been in force for four more days by tomorrow, thanks once again to daily renewals.
Section 60 orders temporarily allows officers greater powers to stop and search - allowing them to do this without specific 'reasonable suspicion'.
Their use in Slough since the end of last month follows a fatal stabbing in Slough and a serious injury stabbing in Langley.
A 15-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of the 15 year old victim Elton Gashaj - and a 17-year-old has been charged with grievous bodily harm in relation to the second incident.
