A CIVIC service ceremony was held by the Mayor to recognise residents for their support for her chosen charity, the Sandhurst Day Centre.

The Bracknell Forest Borough Mayor, Cllr Pauline McKenzie and her consort, Roy McKenzie welcomed hundreds of friends and dignitaries from her chosen charity to a Civic Service at St Michael and St Mary Magdalene Church in Easthampstead on September 22.

Sandhurst Day Centre is a charity which enables elderly people to have access to facilities which enhances their wellbeing and social needs.

The charity is close to the Mayors heart and resident's from all areas of the town come to enjoy the welcoming community.

Father Guy Cole, the Mayor's chaplain reflected on her wish to thank those supporting residents across the borough.

The Mayor, Cllr Pauline McKenzie, said: “It was wonderful to see everyone at my civic service and I’d like to thank the Church for making us so welcome on this special occasion.

"It was amazing to raise £255 for my charity, Sandhurst Day Centre so an extra thank you to everyone who attended.”
