A DAY nursery in Sunningdale continues to receive high praise from the education watchdog, after securing an outstanding rating for seven consecutive years.

The registered manager of Dreamcatcher Childcare were seen as "highly motivated, passionate and enthusiastic", a particular highlight when Ofsted carried out their visit in July 2019.

The nursery was previously rated as outstanding in September 12 and appears to be maintaining its high award.

Lynne Turner, nursery manager, said: "We are thrilled to announce our recent award of Outstanding in all areas following our Ofsted Inspection.

"We provide an environment designed to develop each child’s natural curiosity through positive experiences. Each child’s early years are a magical time for learning and growth, during which their first experiences begin to form the building blocks for future life and successes."

Dreamcatcher Childcare received an 'Outstanding' rating in all five areas of the latest inspection, including how the needs of children are met, contribution of the early years provision to the well-being of children and the effectiveness of leadership and management.

However, inspectors noted that even though areas for improvement were minimal, the nursery needs to "continue to implement the plans to build on children's interests in respecting and valuing the world around them."

Despite this, the staff were praised on their efforts in helping children to form secure emotional attachments, providing praise and reassurance to children, building their confidence and making them self-assured in their abilities.

The Ofsted report also shows how young children being introduced to outdoor activities in an awe inspiring way.

The report said: " Children demonstrate extremely positive behaviour and high levels of self-control, cooperation and respect for others." As well as this, the nursery was praised for its six-month plan to go green as children display their knowledge in caring for the environment and recycling.
