FLYERS will be handed out to drivers disrupted by the Ride of Respect for PC Harper to explain why they are facing delays, organisers have revealed.

The Ride of Respect will be taking place in the south of England later this month, although a date and route have not been finalised.

It will commemorate PC Harper who was killed whilst responding to a burglary near Sulhamstead, last month.

Reading Chronicle:

It reads: "Apologies for the delay to your journey.

"What you are witnessing is a 'Ride of Respect' for PC Andrew Harper.

"The ride is not only to honour PC Harper's bravery and dedication but also to support and appreciate our Police Service as a whole.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience."

The flyer also gives a link to the Just Giving page for PC Harper, found here.

Other motorcycle rides have also been organised in the north of England and in Wales and will take place later this month.
