THOUSANDS of youngsters across the country nervously awaited their A-Level results, which would determine their futures.

Students in Bracknell, Wokingham and Ascot celebrated their exam results as they opened that all important piece of paper.

Our reporter Alice Knight visited Garth Hill College, Bracknell and Wokingham College and Brakenhale School to find out what A-Level results students achieved.

Sophia Hesling, 19 from Binfield achieved 3 As in History, Business and EPQ at Bracknell and Wokingham College.

Brakenhale School celebrated top results this year, with 75 per cent of students achieving A* to B, an increase of 14 per cent in comparison to last year.

The A* to E pass rate was 100 per cent.

Star pupil at Brakenhale School, Jordan Penn, achieved three A*s and an A in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computer Science and will be off to Oxford University to study Physics.

Garth Hill College students also celebrated strong exam results, with 68 students achieving A* to C and 99 students receiving A* to E.

Frankie Pugh was delighted to achieve three A*s in Law, History and Politics.
