FESTIVAL-goers will find out about how to save their water in order to save bills and help the environment.

South East Water will be setting up its 'Top-tip trailer' at Wokingham Festival this Saturday, August 24.

The water team will be giving out free water-saving devices and talking about the range of skills needed to deliver treated water to customers' taps.

Resident's who use water across Bracknell and Wokingham can also receive free advice about how to save money on their water bills.

Lee Dance, head of water resources at South East Water, said: “We’re delighted to be attending Wokingham Festival with our water efficiency trailer this year.

“Days like this give us the perfect opportunity to provide simple but effective tips on how people can not only save water but money too.

"Taking steps such as installing a water butt in the garden, ditching the hosepipe or turning the tap off when you brush your teeth can all add up to a big difference.”

Temperatures over the Bank Holiday weekend are expected to reach as high as 30 degrees, and during the more recent hot spells of hot weather, the water company had to pump an extra 100 million litres of water per day to keep up with demand.
