ELDERLY residents with dementia will be get to socialise over lunch in a bid to encourage networking.

Gracewell of Ascot is launching a Carers Lunch on the last Friday of every month and it starts on Friday, August 30 at 12.30pm.

The aim of the lunch is to give carers the chance to socialise with other people in similar situations and network.

Charlotte Bennet, home admissions advisor at Gracewell of Ascot, said: "The aim of this meet-up is to give people the chance to socialise with others who are in a similar situation, make new friends and build up their support network, all whilst enjoying a scrumptious lunch prepared by Gracewell’s Head Chef, Matt and his team.

"After lunch there will also be an opportunity to stay on and join in with dementia-friendly activities - all are welcome.”

Gracewell of Ascot is teaming up with Alzheimer's Dementia Support, a charity which helps people in Berksire with dementia.

The scheme will provide a complimentary lunch to a group of people supported by the charity.
