A DAY nursery in Hanworth continues to receive high praise from the education watchdog, after securing an outstanding rating for four consecutive years.

The registered manager of the Teepee Day Nursery in Bracknell was seen as "totally committed", a particular highlight when Ofsted carried out their visit in July 2019.

The nursery was previously rated as outstanding in April 2015 and appears to be continuing in the right direction.

Helen Kinch, nursery manager, said: “I am absolutely delighted with our achievement. "Outstanding is not an easy grading to be awarded by our regulator and we are all extremely proud.

"It was our day to showcase what we do on a daily basis and we are thrilled with the outcome.”

Teepee Day Nursery received an 'Outstanding' rating in all five areas of the latest inspection, including how the needs of children are met, contribution of the early years provision to the well-being of children and the effectiveness of leadership and management.

However, inspectors noted that even though areas for improvement were minimal, the nursery needs to "continue with the excellent staff training programme to ensure the quality remains at the

highest level".

Despite this, the staff were praised on their efforts for working 'incredibly hard to maintain the high standards' and staff are very successful in engaging parents in their children's learning.

The Ofsted report also shows how young children being introduced to outdoor activities in an awe inspiring way.

The report said: " They flourish when exploring the vast outdoor areas and demonstrate a superb knowledge and understanding of the natural world."

Emma Tennant, nursery director, added: “This is a truly fantastic achievement and really does show quite how hard we all work.

"We are so passionate about the children in our care and to be recognised in this way again is such an achievement."
