FASHIONABLE shoppers will get to bag themselves locally made accessories at the newly developed Peach Place in Wokingham.

Elle Won, an indepedent shoe and handbag shop, has officially opened in the town centre and has a massive range of locally designed accessories, jewellery and staples for any women's wardrobe.

The Mayor of Wokingham Borough Council, Councillor Bill Soane attended the opening on August 7.

He said: “Fantastic new independent businesses such as Elle Won are really helping to revitalise

Wokingham and create a buzz in the town centre.

"Wokingham is definitely becoming the local place of choice for great shopping and socialising, especially when you want something that little bit different or unique. New shops like Elle Won really complement the other independent and niche shops to be found at Peach Place and across the town centre."

The independent store started out in Wokingham in 2017 and has been growing ever since.

Other popular stores to fill the newly developed town centre, are Oliver Bonas, Ripples and Perfect Smile.

Lape Adejuwon, owner and chief designer at Elle Won, said: "We’ve been growing through

word of mouth to become a local treasure with our quality and timeless designs.

"Everything we do is sourced responsibly with the customer in mind. As a local business we are really pleased to be opening here at Peach Place and look forward to sharing our designs with Wokingham.”

Cllr Soane added: "It is a really good time for Wokingham town centre and our residents.

"The market is thriving in Market Place and there is lots of new business already opened at Peach Place."
