A MAN was left with cuts and bruising after fighting off three men who tried to steal his belongings in Bracknell on Sunday (August 4).

Between 10pm and 10.30pm, the victim, a 26-year-old man, was walking along a footpath in the field between Nightingale Crescent and Glenwood when he was approached by two men in front of him and one behind.

They attempted to take his backpack, mobile phone and wallet, whilst demanding he hand over his belongings.

The victim resisted and sustained cuts to his arms and bruising to his face before offenders left the scene in the direction of Ripplesmere and Nightingale Crescent.

The man did not require hospital treatment.

The first offender is described as being approximately 5ft 11ins tall and slim.

He was wearing all black.

The second offender is described as being approximately 6ft tall with a stocky build.

He was dressed all in black with his hood up and spoke with a southern accent.

The third offender is described being approximately 5ft 7ins tall and was also dressed all in black.

Investigating officer detective constable Neil Lofthouse, based at Loddon Valley police station said: "The victim was able to fight the offenders off but this could have had a very different outcome.

"I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact police.
