Foam guns, arcade games and the biggest ball pit in Europe - they are all part of the summer activities at Slough's Queensmere Observatory shopping centre.

This Saturday, August 17 the fun will continue with the nostalgic Actual Reality Arcade. Shoppers can physically step into timeless arcade games including Tetris, Whack and Space Invaders. The arcade is a regular at festivals across the UK and this will be its first appearance in Slough.

It started earlier this month when children were able to take part in an aliens vs zombies NERF gun event.

Little 'zombies' were able to have their faces painted before taking on the aliens with foam guns - free games happened all afternoon.

On Saturday, August 24 shoppers of all ages are invited to take a tumble in one of the largest pits in the whole of Europe. With over 100,000 balls inside, this free ballpit is fun for adults and children alike.

At intervals throughout the day a golden ball challenge will take place and a team of shoppers will be invited to hunt for the golden ball, for the chance to win prizes including store vouchers.

Each event is free and will run from 10am till 4pm.
