DEVELOPERS are hoping the council gives them the all-clear to convert an Ascot office building into 18 flats.
Ascentia House on Lyndhurst Road could make way for the one-bedroom homes if the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM) says yes to the proposal, but plans are currently pending consideration.

Planning bosses gave applicants prior approval for a similar scheme in April which meant developers had permission to build 14 flats at the site providing they ironed out issues relating to contamination, flooding and transport associated with the plans.
Environmental health chiefs consulted on the plans pointed out its location as being within historic contaminative land and applicants must meet a number of conditions in order to mitigate this impact if plans are given the go-ahead.
