To coincide with the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day landings, one school in Bracknell were transported back in time to experience what life was like during WW2.

Year 5 students at Keep Hatch Primary school experienced a range of activities, including an opportunity to understand what it was like to be an evacuee during the war, de-code messages, learn about rationing, understanding why we went to war and take a look at the weapons and clothing of the soldiers.

Students were also visited by Corporal Harry Smith from Portals to the Past, who praised the youngsters for their knowledge and behaviour.
