A TOWN centre restaurant has plunged into administration after 15 years.

Forbury's has become the latest victim of the financial struggle, with 12 members of staff being made redundant.

A spokesman for liquidator Graywoods said the general decline in business had forced the decision.

Salary rises and increases in overheads made trading conditions even more challenging.

It is also believed that attempts to renegotiate a reduced rent were unsuccessful.

There had been a lack of investment at the French-influenced restaurant and this ultimately resulted in a lack of footfall.
