A GENEROUS group of individuals helped create an outdoor living space for children with life-limiting conditions.

Seven Bewley Homes employees put their gardening gloves on May 18 to plant various foliage and hedging at The Woodlands, Sebastian's Action Trust newest site in Crowthorne.

Emily Clarke, personal assistant at Bewley Homes, said: "Now we have cleared the foliage, it will be easier for the children to access the area and build dens there.

"Eventually, there will be a woodland path to be used by the families too."

Staff spent the day clearing the woodland on the site to create a relaxing and peaceful environment for visitors.

The Woodlands aims to provide a location for families to pop in for financial guidance, sibling support, a venue for events or as a space to simply have a chat with one of the team members.

Jane Flood, corporate social responsibility coordinator at Sebastian's Action Trust, said: "A massive thank you to everyone who volunteered with us on Saturday.

"It was a huge help for us and it will make such a difference to the families who access our facilities."

The housebuilder has been supporting the children's charity by helping to create its respite facility, The Bluebells in 2011.

In 2018, Sebastian's Action Trust received £25,000 in donations from Bewley Homes annual Golf Fundraising Day.
