A MAN charged in connection with a crash that left two teenagers with ‘life changing injuries’ has made his first appearance at court.

Andrew Bradley, of Kingfishers, Grove, appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court this afternoon.

The 28-year old, who faces two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, spoke only to confirm his name at the hearing and did not enter a plea to the charges.

Prosecutors claim Bradley was driving his Ford Focus at the time of the crash on October 28.

It is alleged that because of his ‘dangerous’ driving he crashed the vehicle while travelling on the B4507 at Westcot, near Uffington.

This collision led to two teenager passengers of the car suffering serious injuries, which prosecutors said were ‘life-changing’.

Oxford Mail:

The pair, who were travelling in the back of the silver vehicle, were both taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

Police were called to the scene shortly after 1am.

After hearing a brief overview of the case both prosecutors and defence teams agreed that the matter should be heard at the crown court instead of before magistrates.

Presiding magistrate Robert DeGale agreed to send the matter to the upper court and the case was adjourned for a later hearing.

Bradley was released on bail and is due to re-appear at Oxford Crown Court on June 20.

He gave no indication as to any plea, which is expected to be taken at a later hearing.
