THOSE who have faced long-term unemployment will be able to get support from a centre offering free courses.

Browns Community Services CIC will be running its '4Es to Employment' scheme, which is two free employment courses to job seekers in Wokingham.

The courses are aimed at residents who have been unemployed for a long period of time or ex-offenders who are struggling to find a job.

Job hunting, CV writing and interview preparation will be taught in the two free sessions.

Participants will also receive one-to-one support where an adviser will help figure out what jobs the person is suited to based on the skills they have.

Courses are conducted in a safe, supportive setting and claims to have a 98 per cent success rate of moving people into work, voluntary roles or education.

Browns Community Services will reimburse participants for travel costs to and from the venue in Bracknell (subject to prior agreement)

Courses run from June 12 to 28 and further courses will be held in July.

The support centre has been provided adult social care since 2015 and also offers a 'Rebuild' project, supporting the parents of children affected by exploitation.
