A GROUP of talented students will be performing their own take on the classic Broadway hit musical, Legally Blonde.
A cast of 22 students, from schools across Bracknell, Ascot, Sunningdale and Maidenhead will be performing the show at the BritVic Theatre at LVS Ascot from April 12 to 14.
The show tells the story of Elle Woods - played by Niamh Parkyn from Ascot - about a woman who is determined to finish Law at Harvard and beat the odds.
Andrew Miller, director of Legally Blonde, said: "This is a feel-good musical with a valuable message - be true to yourself.
"It has the ability to let us see ourselves as more than what we are and how we can change the perceptions of ourselves."
Rehearsals started in November 2018 and the cast come together to rehearse every Saturday afternoon.
Louis, who plays the ex-boyfriend Warner, said: "I am so excited because vocally, the cast sound incredible.
"Also, it is such an enjoyable show which incorporates humour, dignity and sas. People need to come and watch this show." The Ocean Theatre Company, who are producing perform two major musicals a year, with Legally Blonde being its 21st production.
Andrew added: "I have had such a great time directing this show.
"I initially thought it was just all light and fluffy, however there is so much comedy and depth to this piece, which has been a real surprise and a delight to work on.
"I have been blessed with an amazing cast, especially my leading roles who have been incredible and have challenged themselves to find more in this show than just all the fluff."
