A multi-vehicle crash caused chaos on the M25 during the rush hour, closing off three lanes.
Drivers were being warned of long delays on the anti-clockwise carriageway between J17 (Maple Cross) and J16 (M40) with around 12 miles of congestion on approach.
Four lorries were involved in the crash, which happened at around 6.40am and saw a man left in the care of South Central Ambulance Service
Highways England reported severe delays of up to 75 minutes just after 9.20am and advised drivers to plan ahead.
According to traffic links, there was congestion to J19 (Watford).
Attended an incident this morning on M25 J17-16 involving multiple HGV's. Luckily there were no injuries. Its a good reminder to keep your distance when travelling on the roads.
