A LOCAL charity from Bracknell have received a £2,350 donation from the Asda Foundation to help better their outreach programme.

The Citizens Advice charity has received the funding to offer better online facilities to help local people resolve their legal and financial problems.

The money will go towards their outreach programme, which the charity set up to help people in the community who are unable to get to the centre.

The Asda Foundation, who handed out the donation aim to have a positive impact on local communities and make independent grants to help support local causes.

Natalie Lambden, community colleague at Asda Lower Earley, said: “We see the Foundation as one of the many ways to give something back to the communities that support us.

"That’s why we lend a hand to the wide range of good causes with which our colleagues are involved, sharing their passion and helping to make a difference through a variety of projects locally and across the UK."

The Asda Foundation will be celebrating its 30th birthday in the coming year by giving out a number of surprise grants to previously supported projects.

Ms Lambden added: “Supporting smaller, local applications such as Citizens Advice Bracknell & District is really important to us – and we hope it will make a real difference within the local community in Reading."
