A shaken milk drink supper has claimed he ended up choking violently over the sink after a piece of wrapping paper left in the cup he had ordered got stuck in his throat.

Luke Molloy, 24, of Broadmark Road, Slough, was at the home of his girlfriend and her four-year-old daughter in London Road, Langley on Tuesday evening when they ordered ice cream and milkshakes from Creams cafe in Windsor Road.

He said he was disturbed to find a five-to-seven-centimetre-long piece of chocolate wrapper in his milkshake which he pulled safely out.

But he says a small piece of it must have got into the straw he used to start his drink and it became stuck in his throat.

He said: “I grabbed a Fanta to drink to clear my throat, but it did not help.

“I ended up vomiting over the sink to clear my throat.

“My main concern was what might have happened if my girlfriend’s daughter had had the milk shake kinder bueno instead of me.

“I think the piece of wrapper must have come from the chocolate used to make the drink kinder bueno – it probably got into the blender.

“I called the shop to complain.”

The Observer tried on two occasions for a response, but no one was available at Creams to comment before we went to print this week.
