A WOMAN has died from her injuries after a serious crash involved a car and a lorry colliding into one another.

The driver, a 57 year-old woman from Bracknell was taken to Frimley Park Hospital and passed away as a result of her injuries.

At around 7.35 am a silver Audi A4 and a heavy goods vehicle crashed on the A330 between the Hatchet Lane Junction and Forest Road.

Her next of kin has been informed.

The heavy goods vehicle driver was uninjured and no one else was involved in the collision.

A 46-year-old man from Middlesex has been released under investigation in connection to the death of the woman in the collision.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses to the fatal collision in Ascot.

Investigating officer, Police constable Wayne Reece of the serious collision investigation unit said: "We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this collision.

"If you have not already come forward, please get in touch with us if you can help with this investigation.

"If you have CCTV footage from the area or dash-cam footage we would really like to review this.

"It was a very busy time of the morning so we do think other people will have seen this incident and we would encourage them to get in touch."
