A STOLEN vehicle has been recovered after four men forced their way into a home and stole the keys.

The incident took place at around 1.30am on December 5 at a property in Bethesda Street, Upper Basildon.

Four men forced entry through a rear window of the property, before stealing two purses and a set of car keys.

The offenders then used the car keys to take a car that was parked on the drive.

The first man is said to be of a large build and was wearing casual clothing

The second offender is also described as wearing casual clothing, with all four men wearing balaclavas.

The third offender is described as being of slim build and wearing a puffa-style jacket with a furry hood.

The fourth man is described as being of slim build and was wearing a light baseball cap with a dark peak.

Detective constable Tara Hamilton, based at Newbury police station said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information about the offence to please get in touch.

“I also urge any local residents or business in the area who have CCTV cameras to please review the footage.
