ANYONE under the age of 18 in Berkshire can go and watch horseracing for free as part of the Under 18s Race Free campaign.

This Christmas, Berkshire Racecourses, Ascot and Newbury will be offering a range of festive days out, where under 18s will be able to attend for free.

The aim of the Under 18s Race Free campaign, which is led by Great British Racing is to promote horseracing as something for families to enjoy.

The campaign is backed by TV personality and author, David Walliams who has written and created a series of sketches called ‘Horsing Around’ to promote the campaign.

The three videos, which are available on YouTube also star The Crown actor Billy Jenkins who tries to teach his father (David Walliams) about his day at the races.

David Walliams said: “It’s clear that there’s loads for families to enjoy at their local racecourse. The Under 18s Race Free initiative is a brilliant concept that I hope more families will take advantage of.”

Berkshire Racecourses will have events taking place throughout December. This will include two days of racing at Ascot on Saturday, December 22 and Newbury’s final race day 2018 on Saturday, December 29.
