A NEW piece of art that represents the development of Bracknell has been installed at the train station.

The contemporary piece of art was designed by Samuel Zealey and was picked by more than 900 people, during a showcase at South Hill Park Arts Centre.

The sculpture, which was installed on Thursday November 22 is a layered structure, which appears to be tipping.

Each layer is designed to represent the visual history of Bracknell and its development.

Councillor Marc Brunel-Walker, executive member for Economic Development and Regeneration, said: “The sculpture has now been installed at Bracknell Train Station for residents, visitors and commuters to enjoy.

“It further adds to the cultural offering of our new town centre.”

The sculpture was installed by the winning artist and his technical team.

Mr Zealey added: “The sculpture has now been installed at Bracknell Train Station for residents, visitors and commuters to enjoy. It further adds to the cultural offering of our new town centre.”

Some further planting and landscaping work to compliment the sculpture will be carried out on the run up to Christmas.
