A MAN in his late 70s has died and a woman in her 80s suffered serious injuries in a road crash in Beaconsfield.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash which happened on Wednesday, October 31 at 2.15pm on the A355 in Dorney Hill North, headed towards the M40.

The driver of a grey Volkswagen Fox left the road and died later that night at Wexham Park Hospital, Slough.

The woman was a passenger in the car and suffered serious injuries for which she is currently being treated at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

Investigating officer PC Anthony Gibson, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit based at Taplow, said: “We are appealing for information following this road traffic collision in which a man sadly died and a woman was injured.

“We are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident to please come forward.”
