A NEW campaign to target organised crime in the Royal Borough is being carried out by the police throughout November as part of the new 'Stronghold' campaign.

Local teams will be out and about, working to disrupt drug dealers and other serious criminals whose activities strike at the heart of the community.

They will also be working in partnership with the Royal Borough, Slough Borough Council and Crimestoppers. But this week the Inspector for Problem Solving and Safeguarding Mike Darrah, based at Maidenhead station, said they would need help and support from the public.

He said: “We are committed to preventing drugs related serious and organised crime in our communities.

“By working together we can help to keep our community safe.

“We would urge anybody who has any concerns or information to get in touch.

“Alternatively, if you see or hear anything unusual or suspicious, please report it to us through our website or call 101.”
