A TEENAGER from Birch Hill is organising a charity football match in memory of his dad.
Owen Pirrong-Harris, 19, is throwing the event after his dad, John Harris, died suddenly of a heart attack at the age of just 53.
Mr Pirrong-Harris, who works in Sainsbury in Bagshot Road, has approached his employers to put a side together to play at Bracknell Town FC's ground in Larges Lane at 3pm on Sunday, August 26. His friends and family will make up the opposing team, with a trophy for the winning side at the end.
He is hoping to raise £500 for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
Mr Pirrong-Harris said: "I never really knew much about heart disease before, I never really gave it much thought until Dad died. His condition isn't hereditary, but I wanted to do something for the BHF so one day no-one else will have to go through this.
"I used to play football for Warfield when I was younger, but had to stop after I fractured my hip. I still play socially every now and again, but a charity football match seemed like a great idea."
