Smart young members of Slough Youth Parliament and the town's LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) Group visited the Mars Wrigley headquarters on the trading estate on Thursday, to enjoy breakfast and discuss diversity.
The pupils came from seven schools in the town. They had a unique chance to meet Mars' global inclusion and diversity director Michelle Thomas and sales director Rez Hassan as well as its global vice-president for human resources Becky Snow.
Michael Lynch, human resources director for the company said: "Our five principles have always guided our efforts to build a workplace where everyone can feel included.
“We went one step further and partnered with Slough Borough Council to open our doors to local students from the Slough community to attend the panel and listen to associates sharing their personal stories about how inclusion should be the norm not the exception.”
