Joan Barker Dear family and friends, one year has passed so quickly and I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to all you lovely people that turned up for Joan's funeral. I had trouble making contact with so many of you, I was thinking it would be a small turnout, I arrived to find that the church was full, with more than 100 seats filled. A very special thank you to the Reverend Neil Warwick who conducted a lovely service finding all the right words. To everyone who spoke of the good times they had had with Joan in times past. Sadly poor Wendy, Joan's sister, who spoke with such joy of their trips to London to see Tom Jones, passed away about one month after Joan and is also sadly missed by us all. There is so much I'd like to say because you were all so special to my darling, she remembered all of you with love and I know you all loved her back. I'll never forget how the church was full of love from you all. Thank you for all the lovely flowers, all the lovely sympathy cards you sent to me. God bless, love to you all. Last but not least my son David, he was wonderful with all his support and love. Joan was his second mum and he always brought a lovely smile to Joan's beautiful face, his playing of the piano was wonderful with our favourite song, Somewhere over the Rainbow. Joan loved him so much. Forever in my heart, love to you all David Barker
