AUST Evelyn Passed away peacefully on 3rd July 2019, aged 96 years. Evelyn long time resident of Reading, In care of the RBI nurses homes for a number of years. Loved sister to Winifred, Bunny, (Ernest), Harry and Ronald. Much loved Aunt to Susan, John, Paul Harry and Robert. Held in great fondness by all great nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. There will be a private Cremation for family only. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday 18th July at Christ Church Reading at 3pm to which all will be welcome. Family flowers only. So sorry to hear this news. Evelyn was a member of Reading UNISON Retired Members' Section, of which I was Chair. Evelyn attended meetings for a number of years and had many conversations with my husband, 93, about her wartime activities. When we had Christmas lunches we picked up Evelyn from the flat in Emmbrook Court, and dropped her back afterwards. She was a lovely, bright intelligent woman and her family must feel her loss.
