For the U13s it was their first taste of competition at this level and many were competing in new events.

In the 75m races, Sophie Hutchings and Brie-Ana Patrick set good times running in 11.1 and 10.7 seconds respectively.

Both girls were also in fine form in the 150m with Hutchings clocking 22.0s and Patrick taking a second off her PB in 20.8s.

Issey Gilkes made a winning return from injury in the U15 100m race, clocking 12.9s.

Emily Whybrow was involved in a high quality 100m with only 0.2 seconds separating the top four, settling for second place.

Whybrow also ran well in the 200m, equalling her PB, while Chante Bynoe-Gittens clocked 28.2s to claim third.

Chloe Eames and Chante King have been training hard for the U13 70m hurdles and it paid off as they both came second in their races.

In the U15 hurdles, Kia Slade claimed second place and Ellie Cleveland set a new PB of 13.3s.

Georgia Whalley and Tessa Weavers competed in the 800m for the first time this year. Whalley ran 2.47.3 and Weavers 2.48.5.

In the 1200m, Naomi Harris claimed third place and Oonagh O’Driscol set a new PB of 4.16.2.

The U15 shone in the 800m, with Jasmine Nightingale finishing third and Chloe Robertson setting a new PB. The 1,500m saw Georgia Hayes and Yasmin Bartlett claim fourth.

In the U13 jumping events, Chloe Eames and Lulu Broadbent set new PBs, increasing their distance by more than 25 cms as both finished second.

In the U15, Jasmine McCallum finished second in the A string and Becky Richardson won the B string.

The pole vaulters contributed further to the points tally with Charlotte Vyvan jumping 2.50m and Darcy Hudson setting a new PB, also at 2.50m.

The high jumpers performed well with Emily Scrivener fourth in the A string and Ceri Milnes third in the B string.

In the U15, Charlotte Vyvyan equalled her PB of 1.5m to claim second, while Elise Belgrave jumped 1.4m for first place in the B string.

In the U13 throwing events, Lulu Broadbent, who had never thrown a shot putt in competition before, came second with an impressive 7.25m.

Sophie Hutchings stepped in at the last minute to throw a new PB of 5.11m.

In the U15, Leah Spratley-Kemp was first in the B string shot putt and A string hammer.

In U15 javelin, Charlotte West managed an impressive win with 32.85m and Angela Lowe finished second in the B string.

In the discuss, Spratley-Kemp finished fourth in the A string and Eleanor Hoyle won the B string.

In the relay races, the U13 girls finished fifth in the 4x100, the U15s came in third while the U15s 4x300 quartet was fourth.
