Get Berkshire Active launched the nominations in October and have been overwhelmed by the impressive stories across all nomination categories. The judges had an incredibly hard selection process to identify the all-important shortlist from such a strong and deserving field.

The awards are a great chance for Berkshire to showcase its sporting heroes, giving them a chance to be recognised by the county for their talent and dedication to grassroots sport.

Katherine said: “I am honoured to be attending the Berkshire Inspiration & Participation Awards.

“It’s a real privilege to be part of something that rewards those who dedicate their time to getting others active.

“I’m also looking forward to sharing my own sporting story with all the guests and nominees.”

Get Berkshire Active is inviting everyone in the sporting, health, business and wider community to attend the event which takes place on February 6, 2015 at the Blue Mountain Golf Club & Conference Centre, Binfield.

All guests are welcome, whether they have been nominated for an award or just want to be part of this night of sporting celebration.

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased from the Get Berkshire Active website http://www.getberkshireactive.org/awards
